Ingredients for Bulgur Chicken Kapama Recipe
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion _
  • 1 whole chicken (shredded)
  • 1.5 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger
  • 1 teaspoon curry
  • 1 tablespoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 5 glasses of water
  • 1.5 cups of bulgur for rice
  • 4 green peppers
  • 2 tomatoes (peeled and chopped )

How to Make Bulgur Chicken Kapama Recipe?

  • Put olive oil in a pressure cooker and fry the finely chopped onion until it turns pink. Add the shredded chicken and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  • Then add tomato paste and spices on top of the chicken. After mixing well, add the water.
  • Close the pressure cooker lid. Once it starts boiling, cook for about 20 minutes.
  • While your chicken is cooking; Finely chop the peppers and set aside. Peel the tomato, chop it into cubes and set aside. Place the washed and drained bulgur in a heat-resistant glass baking dish. Add the chopped peppers and tomatoes on top.
  • After the chicken is cooked, remove the air from the pot, open the lid and place the cooked chickens nicely on top of the bulgur you put in the oven tray.
  • Pour all the remaining water in the pot onto the bulgur and bake it in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  • After taking it out of the oven, let it rest for a while and then serve hot.
