Piccata, which is actually a cooking method, consists of thinly cut and pounded fillet pieces suitable for making schnitzel, coated with flour, fried and served with the prepared sauce.
Pickled capers and lemon juice give the chicken piccata recipe its tart taste. If you want to eat a tender and saucy chicken, this recipe is for you.
- 4 fillets of chicken breast (200 grams each)
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
To fry:
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
For the sauce:
- 2 spoonful butter
- 1 cup hot chicken broth
- 1/2 tea glass of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons pickled capers
- 1/4 bunch of parsley
How to Make Chicken Piccata Recipe?
- After drying the boneless fillet chicken breast meat with a paper towel, cut it lengthwise from the middle with a sharp knife.
- After covering the fillet chicken breasts, which you cut into thin slices, with stretch film, pound them thinly with a meat mallet.
- Mix flour, salt and freshly ground black pepper in a large plate. Coat the chicken slices with flour and place them on a serving plate.
- Melt the olive oil and butter together in a large pan. Fry the chicken meat in hot oil over high heat, turning it upside down, until it gets a light color.
- Place the fried chickens on a serving plate. Add the hot chicken broth to the remaining oil in the frying pan and stir.
- Then boil the sauce in which you add lemon juice, stirring, for about 2 minutes. Add whole or finely chopped capers to the pan.
- Add the butter to give consistency and shine to the sauce, stir until it melts. Finally, add the fried chickens to the sauce mixture into which you add finely chopped parsley.
- Place the chicken meat, which you continue to cook for 2-3 minutes, with its sauce, on a serving plate. Serve the chicken breasts added to the sauce hot without keeping them waiting. Share with your loved ones.
