Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe
Although it may sound different, we know that this is a recipe that tastes delicious! We adapted the famous "Honey Garlic Chicken" recipe and prepared it for you with Asian-inspired notes. We are sure that it will surprise you with its delicious sauce. Let's prepare this Asian chicken recipe, which is enjoyed in restaurants, together at home!
We tried to prepare the recipe as practical and with as few ingredients as possible. Of course, it is possible to add or remove certain ingredients according to your taste. The most important part is cooking the chicken, we have already explained this in detail for you. Honey garlic chicken recipe welcomes Asian influences to your table. It would be delicious if you prepared a jasmine rice pilaf on the side.
For chicken:
- 3 chicken tenderloins (600-650 g)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 5 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 egg (small size )
- 1/3 tea glass of sunflower oil (for cooking)
For the honey garlic sauce:
- 1 tablespoon butter (25 g)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste (tomato-pepper)
- 1/3 tea glass of soy sauce (50 ml)
- 1/3 tea glass of water (50 ml)
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons of honey
For the above:
- 1 tablespoon sesame
- 1 sprig of spring onion
How to Make Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe?
- Chop the chicken into medium-sized strips, then into large cubes. You can chop it in different shapes as long as their sizes are close to each other.
- Place in a large mixing bowl. Add salt, black pepper, egg and 1 tablespoon of corn starch and mix well.
- Put the remaining 4 tablespoons of corn starch in a shallow mold and coat the chicken pieces well.
- Once you have coated all the pieces, shake them gently and remove any excess starch.
- Heat the sunflower oil thoroughly in the pan. After making sure it is heated, add as many pieces of chicken as fit into your pan.
- When the bottom part starts to brown, turn it over and cook the other side. This process will take approximately 8-9 minutes in total. Cook the chicken in this way over medium heat until all the chicken pieces are gone. Then remove it from the pan and set it aside.
- To prepare the sauce, put butter, soy sauce, water and tomato paste in a large pan. Cook the butter, stirring, over low heat until it melts.
- Add the garlic by grating it or mashing it into puree, and add the red pepper flakes. Cook like this for about 2 minutes and then turn off the stove.
- Finally, after turning off the stove, add honey and mix quickly. Then sprinkle the cooked chicken and half of the sesame seeds and coat the chicken in the sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining sesame seeds on top and serve garnished with chopped spring onions. Enjoy your meal!
