The perfect harmony of sweet and salty. Mahmudiye, a truly Ottoman dish, was invented during World War II. One of Mahmud's favorite dishes. He wants to be a guest at your table, too.
- 1 kilogram boneless chicken thighs
- 1 onion
- 10 dried apricots
- 2 handfuls of raisins
- 2 handfuls of raw almonds
- 4 tablespoons of filtered honey
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons of butter
- 1 bunch of dill
- 1 half lemon
How to Make Mahmudiye Recipe?
- We cut the chicken into cubes and let them boil. On the other hand, we keep our raw almonds in boiled water and peel them.
- We drain the boiled chicken and set it aside.
- We melt the butter and fry our diced onions.
- We add the chicken, almonds, apricots and grapes on top of the onions, add cinnamon, black pepper, salt, honey and squeeze a quarter of the lemon and mix.
- We add dill on top and serve.
