It is one of the special dishes of our Ramadan tables. Pulanik is a simple dish that is easy to make, but it tastes great, it will even make you eat your fingers.
- 2 cups crushed walnuts
- 2 kg. chicken leg
- 250 grams of butter
- 1.5 kg. phyllo dough
- 1/2 tea glass of sunflower oil
How to Make Pulanik Recipe?
- First, dry the phyllo dough in a large pan on the stove.
- As soon as you remove it from the pan, put the dough in a bag to soften and leave it closed for half an hour.
- Meanwhile, place the chicken thighs on the stove to boil. Put water to boil in a separate pot.
- Shred 6 of the softened phyllo dough into small pieces.
- Melt the sunflower oil mixed with butter. After the butter melts, turn the heat down to low and leave it alone for 5 minutes.
- Place a large tray over boiling water, put the shredded phyllo dough on the tray, grease the phyllo dough well with the butter you melted by hand, and put it in a separate bowl.
- Then, place the first of the remaining whole phyllo dough on the tray and turn it over constantly to soften it.
- Pour butter onto the softened dough, roll it into a ball using your hand, grease it and place it in a separate bowl.
- Repeat the same process for the remaining phyllo dough. Place the whole greased phyllo dough on top of each other on the tray above the pot. Then distribute the shredded dough.
- Place the boiled chicken thighs in the middle of the tray. Soak the dough with chicken broth until it is moist.
- And finally, sprinkle the roughly chopped walnuts and remove the tray from the pot. Enjoy your meal.
