  • 1 pita
  • 5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 large size onion
  • 300 grams chicken breast tenderloin
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of ground red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sumac
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated tomato
  • 1 glass of hot water
  • 1 tablespoon butter

How to Make Stuffed Pita with Sumac and Chicken Recipe?

  • In a large pan, add olive oil and chopped white onion, salt and sauté over high heat. Add the chicken to the pan after the onions and continue this process until they start to take color.
  • Add the spices and fry for a minute, then add tomato puree, crushed garlic and hot water and cook over medium heat until the chicken becomes soft.
  • Carefully remove the middle of the pita with the help of a knife. Place the chicken mixture into the space in the middle of the pita and place the top pita pieces you reserved.
