You have prepared a roasted turkey in the oven for New Year's Eve and you intend to prepare a delicious sauce to accompany it. You can prepare a delicious turkey gravy using the delicious juice left by the turkey while cooking. The important thing here is to use the water-oil mixture left by the turkey you prepared in the oven during cooking and resting. This mixture is so delicious that this will be the ingredient that will really bring out the flavor of the turkey sauce. For this reason, when cooking a turkey, be sure to keep it in mind and set aside the juice it releases to make sauce.

If you haven't made a turkey but still prepared a New Year's menu that would suit this delicious sauce, don't worry, you can make turkey sauce without a turkey! We also prepared a recipe for easy turkey gravy, it's right here.

If you want to prepare a sauce that is just right and goes with your turkey, we have left our recipe for turkey sauce, also known as gravy sauce, below.

Ingredients for Turkey Gravy (Gravy) Recipe
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 tablespoons (heaping) flour
  • 1 cup of water and fat left behind while cooking the turkey
  • 1.5 glasses of water (preferably chicken broth)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme

How to Make Turkey Gravy (Gravy) Recipe?

  • Melt the butter in a sauce pan. Add it to the flour and start roasting. Continue roasting by stirring with a spatula. When the mixture starts to brown, add the water and oil mixture left behind while the turkey was cooking.
  • Mix it lightly and add water after it warms up. After the water boils and the mixture begins to thicken, turn the heat to low and let it cook for about 10 minutes to thicken.
  • Check the salt level before removing it from the stove and add if necessary. After adding the remaining spices, mix well and remove from the stove. Serve hot with the oven-baked turkey.
