For the turkey:

  • 1 whole turkey
  • 4 tablespoons of yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper

For the pilaf:

  • 2 cups of rice
  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 coffee cup of currants
  • 1 coffee cup of raw almonds
  • 1 onion 
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make Whole Turkey with Stuffed Rice Recipe?

  • Mix honey, yoghurt, olive oil, ketchup, garlic and spices.
  • Apply it well on the turkey with the help of a brush. Cover it and let it rest overnight.
  • Add a tablespoon of flour into the baking bag and coat it all over. Put the turkey in the bag and place it on the baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 1.5 - 2 hours.
  • For rice; Soak the rice in water beforehand to remove its starch. Add oil to the rice pot and fry the onion and almonds.
  • Then add the drained rice and fry.
  • Soak the currants in water beforehand so that they lose their black color. After adding the currants, fry until the rice becomes transparent. Then add salt, add water until it covers it by two fingers and close the lid. Mix gently and turn the heat down to low.
