Ingredients for Anchovy Rice Recipe
  • 1 kilogram of anchovy
  • 1 bowl of rice
  • 1 onion _
  • 1/2 tea glass of currants (soaked in water)
  • 1 heaping teaspoon fish seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 bunch of dill
  • 1/2 tea glass of olive oil

How to Make Anchovy Rice Recipe?

  • For rice; Chop the onion and fry it with olive oil until it turns pink. Add pre-soaked, drained rice and fry again.
  • Add salt and spices. Add the soaked currants and water and cook over low heat until the rice absorbs its water.
  • Add chopped dill to the cooked rice, mix and let it brew.
  • On the other hand, place the cleaned anchovies in a 30 cm deep greased pan, covering the entire pan with their outer parts reaching the bottom of the pan.
  • Pour the brewed rice completely over it, cover the anchovies on the edges of the pan over the rice, and arrange the remaining anchovies so that they completely cover the rice.
  • Cover it with a lid and put it on the stove. After the anchovies on the bottom are fried, turn them upside down using the lid and cook the other side in the same way. Serve hot. Enjoy your meal.
