Ingredients for Avocado Shrimp Cocktail Recipe
  • 1 onion _
  • 2 oranges _
  • 1 carrot _
  • 2 lemons _
  • 6 jumbo shrimps
  • 1 pinch of thyme (fresh is perfect)
  • 5-6 drops of vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 avocados _
  • 1 egg (optional )
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 500 milliliters of water

How to Make Avocado Shrimp Cocktail Recipe?

  • First of all, we cut the oranges in half and squeeze the juice. After squeezing 1 lemon, we put the juice into our pot and add the squeezed juice and a few drops of vinegar.
  • We throw in the carrots, onions, lemon peels and orange peels that we roughly chopped into large sizes, and start boiling.
  • When it boils, we add the shrimps into it and after about 5-6 minutes after it changes color, when you are sure that it is cooked, we take it out, drain the water, separate the shrimps from it and let it cool.
  • To prepare our cocktail sauce, we mix ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard.
  • After peeling our avocados and removing the seeds, we mash them, add salt, black pepper and lemon juice and turn them into puree.
  • We add the shrimps to the sauce we prepared and mix them.
  • We put our avocado puree as a base on our plate and arrange our shrimps with sauce on top. If you wish, you can decorate it with chives/scallions and grate a boiled egg around it like I do. Enjoy your meal in advance! Get ready for compliments!
