For the meatball mixture:

  • 2 octopus arms (suction cups removed, boiled )
  • 1/2 medium- sized red pepper
  • 4 sprigs of parsley
  • 4 sprigs of dill
  • 2 sprigs of spring onion
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon powdered seasoning (spice mix)

To fry:

  • 1 large size onion
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup sunflower oil

How to Make Octopus Meatballs Recipe?

  • After cleaning, chop two boiled octopus arms with their suction cups removed with a sharp knife.
  • Finely chop the separated parsley and dill leaves. Cut the spring onions into rings. Chop the red-fleshed pepper, which you cut in half and remove its seeds, into small cubes to match the other ingredients.
  • Place all the chopped ingredients into a deep mixing bowl. Mix with grated cheddar cheese, salt, freshly ground black pepper and powdered seasoning. Prepare round meatballs from the meatball mixture that you knead until combined.
  • Heat the sunflower oil in a wide-based pan. Slice the peeled onion into rings. Place the round meatballs inside large onion rings and fry them upside down in hot oil.
