Ingredients for Salmon with Potatoes Recipe
  • 250 grams smoked salmon (or thinly sliced salmon)
  • 700 grams of potatoes
  • 1 onion _
  • 1 pinch of dill
  • 4 eggs _
  • 400 milliliters of milk
  • 50 grams butter (plus some melted butter for serving)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper

How to Make Salmon with Potatoes Recipe?

  • Peel the onion and cut it into pieces, fry it in butter until it turns pink and let it cool.
  • Peel the boiled potatoes that are almost cooked (as they will also be cooked in the oven) and cut them into ½ cm thick rings. Chop the smoked salmon fillet into thin slices.
  • Place potatoes, salmon, dill and onions in a baking tray approximately 30 x 24 cm in size and arrange them in several layers. Finish with the last layer of potatoes.
  • Mix the egg, milk, salt and black pepper in a bowl and pour over the potatoes. If you wish, finish with grated cheddar or breadcrumbs. Finally, distribute 50 grams of butter in thin slices.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for 50 minutes until golden brown and serve after resting for 20 minutes.
