Ingredients for Stuffed Mussels Recipe
  • 50 shelled mussels
  • 1 cup baldo rice (10 tablespoons)
  • 2.5 glasses of water
  • 1 onion _
  • 3/4 tea glass of olive oil (one half + one quarter)
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of dried mint

How to Make Stuffed Mussels Recipe?

  • If the mussels are not clean, clean their outer shells with a blunt knife. Then, make a cut from the part called the beard to the top with the tip of the knife.
  • The mussel is already opened. Then, immerse it in plenty of water, remove excess sand, and tear off the part called beard. Add the oil to the pot for the stuffed pilaf.
  • Add the finely chopped onion. Roast over medium heat for 10 minutes until the onion changes color. Add rice and all spices and fry over low heat for 5 minutes.
  • After roasting, add 2 cups of boiling water. Close the lid and leave it on low heat for about 10-11 minutes to absorb the water.
  • Cover the rice pilaf with a cloth and close the lid, then let it steep for 15 minutes. Place the brewed rice on a plate and leave it aside to cool slightly.
  • Lightly break the cleaned mussels crosswise and fill them with rice, making sure they don't overflow. Arrange all the stuffed mussels in a pot so that they do not open and fall apart.
  • Add 1 tea glass of water to the pot. Place the soaked wax paper in the pot to cover the mussels and close the lid.
  • Cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes until the water evaporates. You can serve the cooked mussels with lemon after cooling them slightly so that they do not burn your hands.
  • Enjoy your meal.
