  • 3 slices fillet haddock
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 grated lemon peel
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

How to Make Whiting Recipe?

  • Season the filleted haddock pieces with the skin on, after removing the head and bones, with salt and half of the freshly ground black pepper.
  • Heat half of the butter and olive oil in a cast iron pan with grill marks.
  • Fry the haddock slices, seasoned with salt and pepper, both sides until they get a light colour.
  • Place the fish cooked over high heat and in a short time on a large serving plate.
  • Add the remaining butter, freshly squeezed lemon juice, salt, freshly ground black pepper and dried basil to the frying pan. Add the grated lemon peels and cook the sauce mixture for 2 minutes.
  • Put the cooked fish back into the frying pan and let them gain shine and flavor with the sauce.
  • Share the haddock with butter and lemon juice sauce with your loved ones.
