Eggplant goes best with meat. That's why its name is mostly associated with kebabs. Our hero, a close friend of meat, brings Abant kebab to life this time. Moreover, without frying or adding calories.

The eggplants, which are well cooked and firm in the oven, are filled with the mixture prepared with meat, onion, pepper, mushroom and tomato and put back into the oven. At the end, it is garnished with grated cheddar and turns red like a pomegranate. It is up to you to consume it with pleasure.

  • 3 eggplants _
  • 5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 200 grams of beef
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 2 medium sized green peppers
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 4-5 mushrooms _
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper

How to Make Abant Kebab Recipe?

  • Cut the washed and dried eggplants in half lengthwise.
  • Apply 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the shellless parts of the eggplants with a brush, sprinkle with salt and bake in the oven at 220 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, chop the meat into small pieces and fry it with olive oil on medium-high heat for 5 minutes.
  • Chop the onion, garlic and pepper into small pieces, add them to the meat and fry for another 5 minutes.
  • After cleaning the mushrooms, chop them into small pieces and add them to the roasted meat and vegetables.
  • After peeling the tomatoes, cut them into cubes and add them to the roasted meat and vegetables, cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add salt and spices and mix well, then remove from the stove.
  • Mash the insides of the cooked eggplants with a fork and open the middle.
  • Share the meat and vegetable mixture you prepared evenly among the eggplants.
  • Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on them, fry at the highest setting for 10 minutes and enjoy.
