Ali Nazik is a dish specific to Gaziantep . Its name comes from the combination of the Arabic words "Âlâ", meaning gentle, and "Nazik", meaning food. It was served to Yavuz Sultan Selim, who happened to be in Gaziantep during the campaign, and he liked the food very much and asked, "Who is this kind-handed?" It is reported that he asked: In fact, it is not a type of kebab .
