For the beef ribs:
- 1.2 kilograms of beef ribs (with bones)
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 large size onion
- 1 large carrot
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 3 dried tomatoes
- 2 dried peppers
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of ground red pepper
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 teaspoons of salt
- 4 cups chicken broth
For the tzatziki sauce:
- 1.5 cups strained yoghurt
- 3 Çengelköy cucumbers
- 1/2 onion _
- 1 clove of garlic
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 bunch of dill
For the sandwich:
- 3 baguettes _
How to Make Beef Rib Sandwich Recipe?
- Rub the beef rib meat with olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Heat a deep, large pot with handles suitable for the oven over high heat, then reduce the heat a little and put the meat in the pot and seal it until every corner is colored.
- After sealing the meat, remove it from the pot. Put large pieces of onion, carrot, garlic cloves, tomato paste and spices in the pot and fry. Add chicken broth to the roasted chicken and boil it for a while.
- Return the meat to the pot, keeping the bones on top, then remove it from the stove and cover it with aluminum foil.
- Place the pot in a hot oven at 170 degrees and cook for 2.5 to 4 hours until the meat is tender.
- Remove the cooked meat from the oven and let it rest on the counter for at least half an hour.
- Place the rested meat on a separate tray and clean the bones, excess fat and hard surfaces with a fork.
- Shred the remaining meat with a fork and add enough water in the pot to cover the meat.
- For the tzatziki sauce, cut the cucumbers into four lengthwise, remove the seeds in the middle and chop them into thin small pieces.
- Cut the onion into white pieces, crush the garlic and finely chop the dill.
- Mix all the sauce ingredients you have prepared in a deep bowl and have it ready.
- Cut the baguettes in half, then cut them in half crosswise.
- For each sandwich, lightly dip the bread in the meat juices and toast the bread in a pan or toaster.
- Place the shredded ribs on toasted bread, then lightly tzatziki sauce and serve. Enjoy your meal.
