- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 600 grams of lamb neck meat
- 1 bay leaf
- 200 shallots _
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 4 medium sized potatoes
- 2 large carrots
- 4 cups hot water
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- juice of 2 lemons
- 1/4 bunch of parsley
How to Make Boiled Lamb Neck Recipe?
- After washing the lamb neck meat with plenty of water, dry it with a paper towel. After peeling the garlic and shallots, keep them whole.
- Chop the peeled carrots into large pieces. Divide the potatoes into four equal parts. Finely chop the parsley to be added at the end of the cooking process. Now we can start making the dish.
- Heat the olive oil in a deep pot. Add the dehydrated lamb neck meat to the pot and fry until it acquires a light colour.
- Add black peppercorns, garlic and bay leaf. Add hot water and boil in a closed pot for about 30 minutes.
- Add shallots, chopped potatoes and carrots to the lamb neck meat that has been boiled and released its fat. After adding lemon juice, which will add sourness to the dish, cook the meat with the vegetables for another 30 minutes.
- Serve the dish hot, after mixing it one last time with the addition of salt and chopped parsley. Share it with your loved ones to overcome the cold winter days.
