Ingredients for Homemade Beyti Kebab Recipe

For Meatballs:

  • 500 grams of minced lamb
  • 1 onion _
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper
  • 1 cup bread crumbs

For Lavash:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons of yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons of oil

For the above:

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 tea glass of water
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for topping)

How to Make Homemade Beyti Kebab Recipe?

  • First, prepare dough in earlobe consistency by mixing lavash ingredients.
  • Divide the dough you prepared into egg-sized pieces.
  • Roll it out with the help of a rolling pin (be careful to roll it out as thinly as possible) and cook it in a pan on the stove. Put the cooked lavash between a cloth (so that it does not dry out).
  • Mix all the meatball ingredients and knead well. Leave it to rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Shape the rested mortar into thin and long shapes by rolling it with your hands. Place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper and shape it with your hands. Apply oil on top and bake in the oven at 200 degrees until golden brown.
  • Wrap the cooked meatballs between the lavash and cut them into bites and place them on a plate.
  • Lightly fry 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 1 tablespoon of tomato paste in a pan, add half a tea glass of water, cook for 1 minute and pour over the couplets.
  • Finally, heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and pour it over the couplets.
