How to Make Homemade Beyti Sarma Recipe?

  • Put the onion, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, salt, black pepper and chili pepper in a food processor and turn it into a mortar.
  • Put all the meatball ingredients in a bowl. Knead well until the ingredients are integrated with each other. After kneading, cover it with stretch film and let it rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Put the tomato paste sauce ingredients in a pot and cook until it thickens.
  • Take enough meat from the rested meatball mixture for a medium-sized kebab. Give it a slightly thick, kebab-like shape.
  • Lay one of the rectangular phyllo sheets on the counter and place one of the meatballs. Spread the tomato paste sauce on the dough and then wrap the dough around the meatballs. Follow the same process until all the meatballs are finished.
  • Slice the wrapped meatballs into medium-thickness pieces. Transfer it to a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake it in a controlled oven at 190 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  • Arrange the cooked beyti wraps in a circle towards the edge of the presentation plate. Pour tomato paste sauce over them.
  • Finally, put yoghurt in the middle of the plate, sprinkle parsley and serve the stuffed wraps. Enjoy your meal!
