Ingredients for Homemade Meat Doner Recipe

For meat marination:

  • 200 grams entrecôte or thigh meat
  • 1 tablespoon of yoghurt
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice

For the minced meat mixture:

  • 200 grams of lean ground meat
  • 1 onion _
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

To cook (as desired):

  • 50 grams of tail fat

How to Make Homemade Meat Doner Recipe?

  • Combine all ingredients except meat and onion and mix well.
  • Add the meat and chopped onions to the mixture. Stretch it and leave it in the refrigerator for at least six hours, if possible up to a day, to absorb the sauce.
  • Separate the meat from the rested meat in sauce. Arrange your meat on the stretch film.
  • Wrap tightly and shape into salami. Leave it in the freezer for at least 1 night.
  • Take it out of the freezer. Before it defrosts, cut it thinly with a sharp knife.
