Ingredients for Kazan Kebab Recipe
  • 400 grams medium fat lamb mince
  • 1 onion (grated )
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped )
  • 2 green peppers ( chopped)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper paste
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili pepper
  • 4 eggplants _
  • 3 tomatoes _

For the above:

  • 2 glasses of water
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper paste
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 handful of parsley (chopped)

How to Make Kazan Kebab Recipe?

  • Combine minced meat, onion, tomato, green pepper, garlic, pepper paste, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, cumin and chili pepper in a bowl and knead well.
  • Cut the eggplants and tomatoes vertically or obliquely with a knife, two centimeters apart, keeping each eggplant and tomato whole.
  • Fill the prepared minced meat mixture into the cut parts of the vegetables.
  • Arrange the eggplants and tomatoes stuffed with minced meat in the pot.
  • Mix water, tomato paste, oil and salt in a bowl. Pour this mixture over the eggplants and tomatoes in the pot.
  • Cover the vegetables with a plate to prevent them from falling apart, and after closing the pot lid, let them cook first on medium heat and then on low heat until the water is absorbed.
  • Place the Kazan kebab on a serving plate, sprinkle chopped parsley on it and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
