How to Make Konak Kebab Recipe?

  • Peel the potatoes, wash them and roughly chop them. Put it in a pot and add enough water to cover it. Boil until it softens. (You can also do this by baking your potatoes in a baking tray without any water instead of water.)
  • Puree the boiled potatoes with the help of a blender. Add the butter and milk and mix well until the butter melts. After adding salt and pepper, mix again. Your puree is ready.
  • Peel the eggplants in various stripes and slice each eggplant into three horizontally. To remove the bitterness, leave it in a bowl filled with salt water for 15 minutes.
  • While the eggplants are waiting, chop the onions needed for the filling.
  • Roast it in a pan with olive oil until it turns pink. Then add the meat and continue roasting until the meat releases its water and shrinks again.
  • After the meat is roasted, add the peppers and tomatoes you cut into cubes.
  • After adding hot water, cook, covered, until the meat becomes soft. Approximately 15 minutes. Then add spices and salt and mix.
  • Remove the eggplants from the water, dry them and fry them well, both sides, in a frying pan in which you have heated the oil.
  • Put it on a baking tray.
  • Share the stuffing you prepared on top.
  • Share the mashed potatoes on top, sprinkle grated cheese on top, and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and serve hot. Enjoy your meal.
