Ingredients for Loquat Kebab Recipe
  • 500 grams of maltese plum
  • 250 grams lamb/beef mixed minced meat
  • 250 grams of onion
  • 100 grams of green pepper
  • 500 grams of tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make Loquat Kebab Recipe?

  • Cut the plums in half after washing them in plenty of water and remove the seeds.
  • Knead the lamb/beef mixed minced meat with half the salt and black pepper. Place walnut-sized meatballs between both pieces of plum and place them on a tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  • After peeling the onions and chopping them into thin pieces, sauté them in olive oil.
  • Cut the green peppers in half and remove their seeds and chop them thinly. Cut the peeled tomatoes into large cubes.
  • Add the green peppers to the onions and continue the sautéing process. After adding the tomato cubes and the remaining salt, cook on low heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the tomato and onion sauce on the loquat kebab you took out of the oven and continue the cooking process for another 10 minutes.
  • Share the hot kebab with plenty of tomatoes, which remains slightly juicy after taking it out of the oven, with your loved ones.
