Ingredients for Meat Casserole Recipe
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 400 grams of cubed veal
  • 15-20 shallots ( peeled )
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 4 green peppers
  • 3 medium sized tomatoes
  • 1.5 teaspoons of pepper paste
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of ground red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the above:

  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 cherry tomatoes

How to Make Meat Casserole Recipe?

  • Put olive oil and meat in a pot. Sauté over high heat until it changes color.
  • Then add the onions and continue sautéing.
  • When the onions start to soften slightly, add the roughly chopped peppers. Continue roasting for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add pepper paste.
  • Then add the garlic you chopped into small pieces.
  • Add peeled and diced tomatoes.
  • After adding the spices and water, continue to stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
  • Cover and cook over low heat until the water evaporates slightly, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Decorate the sautéed meat, which you shared equally among the casserole molds, by placing a slice of tomato and pepper on top.
  • Then, cover the casseroles and bake them in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes until the meat is tender.
