  • 250 grams of tenderloin
  • 1 tea glass of peas
  • 1 large size onion
  • 1 small carrot
  • 8-10 pieces of puff pastry
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper

How to Make Meat (Volovan) Recipe with Vegetables in Puff Pastry Dish?

  • Place the tantuously finely chopped meat into the pot, add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil, close the lid and leave it on high heat until it sizzles.
  • Then, put it on low heat and cook until it releases its own water and becomes soft. (If it absorbs too much water, you can add a little boiled water.)
  • In a separate pot, boil peas and diced carrots or steam them until soft.
  • Combine the puff pastry dough by shaping it as shown in the image and bake it in a preheated 200 degree oven for 20 minutes until it rises and turns golden brown. (If you wish, you can also apply egg yolk around it - I did not use it.)
  • After the meat becomes soft, add the diced onion and spices and fry. After the onion has absorbed its water, add boiled peas and carrots, fry for 1-2 more minutes and remove from the stove.
  • Fill the cooked puff pastry with mortar, add grated cheddar cheese and leave it in the oven on the grill setting until golden brown. Enjoy your meal.
