It was cooked so well that we couldn't get enough of its taste. We only used tomatoes in the sauce. But you can enrich this flavor by adding various vegetables. Ingredients for Meatballs with Sauce in a Casserole Recipe

For Meatballs:

  • 500 grams of ground beef
  • 2 slices of stale bread (finely ground)
  • 1 grated onion
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of mint
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

For the Sauce:

  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tomatoes (peeled, diced )

For the above:

  • 150 grams of grated cheddar cheese

How to Make Meatballs with Sauce in Casserole Recipe?

  • To prepare the meatballs; Put all the meatball ingredients in a large bowl and knead until all the ingredients are mixed together.
  • Roll walnut-sized pieces from the kneaded meatball mixture.
  • Fry the rolled meatballs in the pan with the heated oil and remove them from the stove.
  • For the sauce; Melt the olive oil and butter in a saucepan.
  • Fry the crushed garlic and tomato paste well.
  • Add salt, black pepper, thyme and chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes melt.
  • Arrange the casseroles on the baking tray and put an equal amount of meatballs in each one.
  • Add the tomato sauce you cooked and the grated cheddar cheese on each one.
  • Bake the casseroles in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
