For Minced Meat Mixture:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 250 grams of minced meat
  • 1 onion (chopped )
  • 2 green village peppers (chopped )
  • 1 capia pepper ( chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For Bechamel Sauce:

  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 500 milliliters whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg

Other Ingredients:

  • 3 potatoes (diced, air fryer or oven baked)
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

How to Make Minced Meat Potato Gratin Recipe?

  • For the minced meat mixture, fry the oil and minced meat in a pot. Add chopped onion and cook until it softens. Add chopped green and capia peppers and fry for another 3-4 minutes.
  • After adding tomato paste, tomato puree, salt and pepper, cook for 10 minutes.
  • For bechamel sauce; Fry the butter and flour for 2-3 minutes. Add milk and salt and cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Finally, add grated nutmeg, mix and remove from the stove.
  • Spread the cooked potato cubes on the bottom of the baking dish. Spread the minced meat mixture and béchamel sauce in layers. Finally, sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top and roast in the oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
