For the dough:
- 2 cups fine bulgur for meatballs
- 1 glass of semolina
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 egg _
- 1 tablespoon pepper paste (optional)
- 2.5-3 glasses of hot water
- 1 pinch of salt
For internal mortar:
- 600 grams of minced meat
- 4-5 onions _
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon of pepper paste
- 1 pinch of parsley
- 200 grams of walnuts (coarsely crushed)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 pinch of chili pepper
- 1 pinch of allspice
- 1 pinch coriander (freshly ground)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 5-6 tablespoons of plain oil
How to Make Minced Meat Stuffed Meatballs Recipe?
- Cut the onions into cubes and fry them in oil until they soften. Then add the minced meat.
- After the minced meat is cooked, add the tomato paste and spices.
- Finally add the walnuts and parsley, mix and let it cool.
- Soak the bulgur with hot water, cover it with a towel and let it brew.
- After the bulgur swells, add semolina, flour, egg, salt and tomato paste and knead for 10 minutes until it becomes soft. If you have a stovetop mixer, you can use it at this stage.
- After your dough has softened, take a medium-sized dough in your hand, roll it and start rolling it out in your palm by inserting your index finger into the middle.
- To examine the thickness formed under the dough, try to gather and thin the dough from the outside upwards with your other fingers, keeping your thumb inside.
- Fill it with the minced meat mixture and cover the meatball with your fingers.
