Ingredients for Mushroom Tenderloin Recipe
  • 2 tenderloins (200 grams each)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon sunflower oil

For the sauce:

  • 500 grams of mushrooms
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 teaspoon truffle oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 200 ml. cream

How to Make Mushroom Tenderloin Recipe?

  • Chop the red onion into white pieces. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth or brush and slice them thinly.
  • Melt the butter in a wide-based pan. Fry the chopped red onion in butter until it caramelizes.
  • Continue the sauteing process by adding thinly sliced mushrooms to the onions that are roasted until they take on color.
  • Add cream, fresh thyme, truffle oil, salt and freshly ground black pepper and cook the sauce over medium heat until it becomes thick.
  • Sprinkle salt and black pepper on both sides of the 200 gram tenderloins. Heat a little butter and sunflower oil in a cast iron pan with grill marks and cook the meat over high/medium heat until it reaches the desired level of doneness.
  • Pour the hot sauce over the tenderloins, mix and serve immediately, accompanied by spicy fries or mashed potatoes.
