Ingredients for Oven Dish Recipe with Bechamel Sauce, Minced Meat and Vegetables

For food:

  • 400 grams of minced meat
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tomatoes _
  • 1 capia pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion _
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3 carrots _
  • 3 potatoes _
  • 1.5 cups of peas
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

For bechamel sauce:

  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1.5 cups of cold milk
  • 1 cup of broth
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

How to Make Oven Dish Recipe with Bechamel Sauce, Minced Meat and Vegetables?

  • First, boil the peas and potatoes. Put olive oil in a large pan and sauté the diced onions and finely chopped garlic until they wilt.
  • Add the peppers you diced and sauté for about 5 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until brown. Add the grated carrots and cook until the carrots wilt. Add the tomato paste and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the peeled and diced tomatoes, spices and salt, and fry for 3 minutes. Throw the bay leaves into the pot and fry for another 3 minutes.
  • Chop the boiled potatoes into cubes and place them on the bottom of a 27 cm square baking dish (I used pyrex). Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the minced meat mixture over the potatoes. Make deep scratches on it with a spoon. Spread the boiled peas over the minced meat mixture.
  • Take the butter in a small saucepan. When the butter melts, add the flour and fry until it turns yellow. Slowly add the broth, stirring constantly.
  • Add some salt. Add the cold milk slowly again and continue mixing until it becomes smooth and has a thick consistency. Your bechamel sauce is ready.
  • Pour bechamel sauce evenly over the minced meat you prepared. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese and chili pepper on top. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees until the cheddar melts and turns slightly brown. Serve by slicing. Enjoy your meal.
