Pistachio Shish Meatballs Recipe

We add a different interpretation to the mother's meatballs, enrich them with pistachios, and cook them in portions on skewers and on the grill.
You can add tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms or even cubed halloumi cheese to the skewers as desired.
- 600 grams of medium-fat ground meat
- 1 medium sized onion
- 3 tablespoons pistachios (crushed, rice peanuts)
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
For service:
- 1/4 bunch of parsley
How to Make Pistachio Shish Meatballs Recipe?
- Transfer the medium-fat ground meat to the mixing bowl. Add salt, black pepper and cumin.
- To prevent it from appearing in the meatball mixture and from being too tough, grate the onion, then extract its juice and place it in a separate bowl. Do not use the pulp part.
- Add onion juice, powdered pistachios, breadcrumbs and olive oil to the meatball mixture. Knead all the ingredients until combined.
- If you have time for the spices to give the meatballs their flavor and thicken, keep the meatball mixture in the refrigerator.
- Divide the rested meatball mixture into ten equal parts. Thread it on wooden skewers, leaving some margin around the edges.
- Turn the meatballs you have prepared upside down on the heated grill and fry them until they take on color. Decorate with finely chopped parsley and serve. Share with your loved ones.
