It is both practical and delicious to make use of the leftover and stale pitas, especially during Ramadan, as a main course by using our stale bread in normal times.
- 1 stale pita
- 500 grams low-fat ground beef
- 650 grams of strained yoghurt
- 2 onions _
- 5-6 green peppers
- 1 capia pepper
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of chili pepper
- 6-7 sprigs of parsley
For the sauce:
- 3 cups broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
How to Make Practical Tirit Recipe?
- We cut the pitas into cubes, put them on a baking tray and dry them in the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes. Then we add olive oil, onion and pepper to the pot and sauté them.
- Then we add the minced meat and continue sautéing. We add our tomato paste to the lightly sautéed ground meat, add some hot water and spices and cook.
- On the other hand, we are preparing our tomato paste sauce to moisten our pitas. We pour our ready sauce over the pitas we dried in the oven.
- Then we add our strained yoghurt on top, and finally we add the minced meat sauce we prepared and serve it with finely chopped parsley. Enjoy your meal!
