  • 800 grams of beef cubed meat
  • 2 medium sized quinces
  • 2 medium sized onions
  • 2 medium sized carrots
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 glass of hot water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

How to Make Quince Meat Saute Recipe?

  • We will prepare a slightly different meat sauté together and complete the cooking process in the oven. For this; Divide the onions into four equal parts. Cut the peeled carrots into half-moon shapes.
  • Divide the hard and juicy quinces into four equal parts, clean the core parts and slice them thinly. Do not peel the skins if desired.
  • Heat the olive oil in a wide-bottomed pot, if possible with a cast iron bottom. Add the beef cubes and seal over high heat.
  • According to the degree of hardness, respectively; Add quince, carrots and onions and continue sautéing over high heat. Add the cinnamon stick and bay leaf to release their aroma.
  • Add enough hot water to cover the quinces and cook over low heat in a closed pot for 30-35 minutes. At the end of this time, remove the cinnamon stick, add salt, black pepper and a small amount of allspice and mix with a wooden spoon.
  • Bake the meat sauté in a heat-resistant baking dish in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Share it with your loved ones, accompanied by buttered rice, if desired.
