  • 1 whole beef tenderloin (or nuar)
  • 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black peppercorns
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3/4 cup panko (Japanese bread crumbs)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

How to Make Roast Beef Recipe?

  • For coating the roast beef; Extract the fresh rosemary branches one by one by holding them horizontally and pulling them from the opposite side towards the tip.
  • Thin the rosemary pieces you have separated with the help of a sharp knife. Mix with freshly ground black peppercorns.
  • Spice mix; Mix with mustard, brown sugar and finely ground sea salt.
  • After applying olive oil on a whole beef tenderloin, spread the spice mixture you prepared on it.
  • After heating a cast iron skillet over high heat, place the tenderloin on it. Seal it over high heat to form a crust on the outside.
  • Place the pre-cooked tenderloin on wax paper laid on aluminum foil. After wrapping carefully, place it on the baking tray.
  • Sprinkle Japanese bread crumbs on the tenderloin, which will add crispness to the tenderloin while cooking in the oven.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 10-20 minutes to your taste and desired cooking temperature.
  • After it comes out of the oven, cool the roast beef without opening the baking papers. After letting it rest in the refrigerator, if desired, press it with a meat fork and share it cold with your loved ones in thin slices.
