Seasoned and sour meatballs are one of the delicacies that everyone, young and old, eats plate after plate. The number of people who don't like it is almost too few to count on the fingers of one hand. We thought it would be impossible not to share the details of such a popular dish, so we immediately rolled up our sleeves.

Ingredients for Seasoned Sour Meatballs Recipe
  • 350 grams of medium-fat ground beef
  • 2 medium sized potatoes
  • 2 medium sized carrots
  • 7 shallots _
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 4 celery leaves
  • 3 glasses of water
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

For finishing:

  • 1.5 cups of yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

How to Make Seasoned Sour Meatballs Recipe?

  • Put the minced meat, salt, black pepper, mint, cumin, chili pepper and garlic in a large bowl and start kneading it.
  • Cut the kneaded minced meat into pieces of desired size. Form the pieces into meatballs by rolling them in your hands. Then place it on a lightly floured tray.
  • Peel the carrots and potatoes and cut them into cubes. Add olive oil to your pot and add the carrots. Sauté lightly.
  • Then continue sautéing by adding shallots and potatoes. Add water to the vegetables.
  • When your vegetables start to soften slightly, add your floured meatballs little by little. Close the lid of your pot to cook.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the yoghurt and flour with a whisk. Add the juice of half a lemon and continue mixing.
  • Add some of the cooking water to your marinade and continue mixing. Slowly pour the homogeneous mixture into the cooked meatballs and vegetables, being careful not to cut them. Meanwhile, continue mixing.
  • Continue mixing slowly until the seasoning is combined with your food. Then add salt and pepper and cook for another 5 minutes. You can share your cooked meal with your loved ones by placing it on serving plates.
