Although its ingredients and taste are very similar to kibbeh, it is very easy to make, and you can prepare this recipe, also known as "Tray Oruğu" in some regions, quickly and with peace of mind for your most special guests and of course for yourself. We know that a meal containing meatballs is unlikely to be delicious. Then get the bulgur and semolina ready. We make a tray of meatballs together.

 
Ingredients for Sini Meatballs Recipe
  • 3 tea glasses of bulgur for meatballs
  • 1/2 tea glass of semolina
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1.5 cups hot water
  • 2 boiled potatoes ( medium size)
  • 1.5 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 3.5 tablespoons of flour

For the inner material:

  • 1.5 tablespoons of oil
  • 250 grams medium-fat ground beef
  • 1 onion (chopped )
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper
  • 1 tea glass of walnuts (chopped)

For the above:

  • 1/2 tea glass of oil

How to Make Sini Meatballs Recipe?

  • Put the semolina and bulgur into a deep bowl. Add salt and cumin and pour 1 glass of hot water.
  • Add boiled potatoes, tomato paste and flour on top of semolina and bulgur. Then knead it well with your hand. Cover the mixture with stretch film and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
  • While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. Take oil in a pan and heat it a little, then add the minced meat and fry it well. Then add the onion, tomato paste, salt, black pepper and chili peppers that you cut into cubes and continue frying.
  • Finally, add the walnuts and roast for a few more minutes, then turn off the heat. Your stuffing is ready.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of flour to the waiting dough and knead well for 10 minutes. Make sure all ingredients are well combined. Divide the dough you prepared into 2 equal parts.
  • Oil the bottom and sides of a baking dish. Oil your hands and take one of the doughs, which you divided into two, and spread it on the floor of the baking tray, pressing it lightly so that it is flat. Add the stuffing you prepared on top and spread it well.
  • Spread the remaining dough on top of the filling, pressing it well with your hands so that it is flat and covers the entire baking dish. You can also use the back of a spoon or spatula to make the top smoother. Then slice the meatballs with the help of a knife. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes until the top and bottom are golden brown.
  • At the end of the cooking time, remove from the oven and serve hot.
