- 3 puff pastry dough
- 500 grams of ground beef
- 1 tea glass of bread crumbs
- 1 egg _
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of chili pepper
- 1/2 tea glass of water
For the sauce to be spread on the skewers:
- 1 glass of olive oil
- 4 tablespoons powdered parmesan
- 5 sprigs of fresh thyme (chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves ( crushed)
- 2 teaspoons of salt
For Tomato Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
- 2 tomatoes (grated )
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
How to Make Skewered Puff Pastry Meatballs Recipe?
- In a large bowl or kneading bowl, knead and mix the minced meat, breadcrumbs, eggs, water, salt, cumin, thyme and chili pepper.
- Take walnut-sized pieces from the kneaded minced meat and roll them.
- Cut the puff pastry into three fingers thick.
- Take a skewer in your hand and first insert the puff pastry into it and then thread one meatball. Pass the dough over the meatballs in a zigzag pattern.
- Mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.
- Apply the sauce on the meatballs you placed on the baking paper with the help of a brush.
- Bake in the oven at 190 degrees for about 35 minutes, until the meatballs are golden brown.
- For the tomato sauce, in a saucepan, sauté the garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
- Add grated tomatoes, salt and pepper.
- When the sauce starts to boil, add the thyme and cook on low heat for another 5 minutes, then remove from the stove.
- Serve skewered puff pastry meatballs and tomato sauce hot.
