Ingredients for Sour Meatballs Recipe

For the meatballs:

  • 500 grams of medium-fat ground meat
  • 1 onion _

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 1 potato _
  • 1 carrot _

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 8 glasses of water
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1.5 teaspoons of salt

For finishing:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons of yoghurt

How to Make Sour Meatballs Recipe?

  • To prepare the meatballs, put the minced meat, washed and drained rice, grated and squeezed onion, salt, black pepper and chili peppers in a bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients well and knead. Take pieces of the meatball mixture and prepare marble-sized meatballs.
  • Pour the flour into a shallow bowl and coat the meatballs in the flour.
  • Chop the peeled carrots and potatoes into small cubes. Put the sunflower oil in the pot and after it gets hot, add the carrots, potatoes and thinly sliced garlic and start roasting.
  • When the vegetables are lightly roasted and start to change color, add the tomato paste and continue roasting over medium-low heat for another 2-3 minutes.
  • After adding water, cook over low heat with the lid closed until it boils. After boiling, add the spices and mix.
  • Drop the marble-sized meatballs, one by one, into the boiling water with vegetables and tomato paste. Close the lid and let it cook on low heat.
  • Meanwhile, for his discipline; Mix egg yolk, lemon juice and yoghurt in a bowl.
