Small-sized spit meatballs, which can be easily shaped by slightly moistening them with water, began to be called match meatballs or spit meatballs as an urban legend.

Ingredients for Spitballs Recipe
  • 500 grams of minced meat
  • 6 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg _
  • 1 onion _
  • 1/2 tea glass of water
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin

How to Make Spitballs Recipe?

  • Add minced meat, 1 egg, grated and squeezed onion and breadcrumbs to a deep bowl.
  • Add water and spices.
  • Knead all the ingredients for 10 minutes. Let the meatball mixture, which has reached a paste consistency, rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, then cut it into walnut-sized pieces.
  • After dipping your hand in water, prepare small meatballs and shape them flat with your hands.
  • Place it on a lightly oiled and heated grill or preferably a cast iron pan.
  • Flip it upside down and cook it over high heat.
