The best part of Ramadan is undoubtedly the Ramadan pita that people queue up for, right? This delicious taste, which won hearts with its hot and crispy form, has finally arrived to create long queues at the bakeries.

We wanted to place the pitas left over from the day before as a centerpiece for the next day. We flavored the pitas with butter and spices and placed them under cooked meats such as tomato sauce and Turkish delight.

Ingredients for Stale Pita Kebab Recipe
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 250 grams of beef cubed meat
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

For Tomato Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon tomato
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme

To Flavor the Pitas:

  • 1/2 ramadan pita ( diced)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin

To Decorate:

  • 1 onion _
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley

How to Make Stale Pita Kebab Recipe?

  • Melt the butter and cook the meat until it turns slightly brown.
  • Add hot water, cover the pot and cook over low heat for about 15-20 minutes.
  • While the meat is cooking, prepare the tomato sauce and pitas.
  • For tomato sauce, crush and cook large chopped tomatoes in olive oil. Add pepper paste and spices and let it bubble.
  • Chop the pitas into cubes.
  • Flavor it by seasoning it in melted butter.
  • After the meat has absorbed its water, season it with salt and pepper.
  • On a serving plate, first place the spicy Ramadan pita, tomato sauce on top, and the meat on top.
  • You can enrich your presentation by serving it with onion and finely chopped parsley.
