Ingredients for Steak Recipe with Tomato Sauce and Mashed Potatoes

For the steak:

  • 4 thinly sliced steaks
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion _
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 tomatoes _
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper paste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper

For mashed potatoes:

  • 4 medium sized potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tea glass of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make Steak Recipe with Tomato Sauce and Mashed Potatoes?

  • Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a suitable frying pan. Cook both sides of the steaks until they change color and set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté chopped onion, pepper and garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 1 more minute. Add the tomato paste, water, salt and spices and continue cooking until it boils.
  • After boiling, add the meat and cook over low heat until the meat becomes soft. (This may vary depending on the thickness of the meat.)
  • For the mashed potatoes, peel the potatoes, cut them into cubes, add enough water to cover them and boil them. Drain the water from the softened potatoes.
  • While it is hot, add the butter and mash well. Add milk until you reach your desired consistency. I added about 1 tea glass. Finally, season with salt and pepper.
