We are here with a beautiful recipe that is known especially in the inner Aegean region but is about to be forgotten.

Almost everything can be stuffed, so why not bread? Moreover, it is so delicious that you can eat the whole loaf all by yourself. This flavor, which claims to rival the hamburger, is also very, very easy. It's a delicacy created with just three ingredients, and although it's easy, it looks like a lot of effort. I mean, it's one of our favourites.

If you have an onion, some minced meat, a pinch of parsley and a round, fragrant bread, you are ready. There is stuffed bread for dinner. Come on, enjoy your meal.

Ingredients for Stuffed Bread Recipe
  • 1 round village bread
  • 250 grams of minced meat
  • 1 onion _
  • 1 handful of finely chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 potatoes _
  • 4 cups broth
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make Stuffed Bread Recipe?

  • Take the bread and cut a round piece from the top-center to serve as a lid.
  • Put the piece you cut aside and, starting from this gap, remove the entire inside of the bread with your hand. This way, only the outer crust of the bread will remain.
  • Crush the emptied bread crumbs with your hands, place them in a deep bowl and set aside.
  • Finely chop the onion and fry it well in the oil in a pan. Then add the minced meat and continue roasting.
  • Add the crumbled bread crumbs and finely chopped parsley and mix well.
  • Add the spices and turn off the stove.
  • Fill the inside of the bread well with the filling you prepared and cover the top of the bread again with the lid you set aside.
  • Take a baking tray larger than a loaf of bread, grease it well and place the potatoes that you peeled and cut into thick round slices, covering the entire tray floor.
  • Place the bread stuffing you prepared on top of the potatoes you placed on the ground.
  • Pour the broth over the bread and place the tray on the stove.
  • Place a pot large enough to cover the tray upside down over the bread stuffing. Thus, it will cook faster with the help of the steam that will be created while cooking.
  • In this way, check the tray you put on the stove from time to time and leave it to cook over medium heat for about 1 hour.
  • At the end of the cooking time, check whether the potatoes are cooked or not. If the potatoes are cooked, your stuffing is ready. Then slice and serve.
