  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For Gravy Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1.5 cups of broth (chicken broth or vegetable broth)
  • 100 milliliters of cream
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg

How to Make Swedish Meatballs Recipe?

  • We grate the onion and garlic for the meatballs and knead all the ingredients for the meatballs thoroughly in a bowl.
  • After kneading, we shape it into a round shape, place it on our plate, and leave it to rest in the fridge for half an hour.
  • After resting, we fry the meatballs in a pan with a little butter and oil.
  • It does not need to be cooked thoroughly, it is enough to seal the outside because they will also cook in the sauce.
  • We take the fried meatballs out of the pan, keep them aside and start making the sauce.
  • We put the butter in the pan in which we fried the meatballs and melt it.
  • We add the flour and fry for 1-2 minutes. Then we add the broth and mix.
  • After mixing well, we add the cream and mustard and spice it up with spices.
  • We put the meatballs waiting in the corner into the pan, cover them with sauce, then close the lid and cook them over low heat for 20-25 minutes.
