Ingredients for Tantuni Recipe
  • 4 tandoori lavash
  • 400 grams of beef sirloin (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tea glass of cottonseed oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground red pepper
  • 1/2 tea glass of water
  • 1/4 bunch of parsley (optional)
  • 2 tomatoes (optional )
  • 1 onion (optional )

How to Make Tantuni Recipe?

  • For Mersin style tantuni, clean the excess fatty parts of the meat, if any, and cut them into thin slices. Add enough cold water to cover it and boil until the water evaporates.
  • Heat the wok or sheet pan on the stove. Pour the cottonseed oil into the pan and add the boiled meat on it. Add ground pepper and mix. Add water slowly and cook until the water evaporates.
  • Place the cooked tantuni into the sandwich bread and lavash. Add chopped tomatoes, onion and parsley if desired. Enjoy!
