We prepare our favorite street delicacy, tantuni, at home with its delicious bread. You will love this recipe with its wonderful harmony of crispy bread and tender meat.

 
Ingredients for Tantuni Recipe with Homemade Bread

For the meat:

  • 500 grams of tenderloin (chopped small)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2-3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme

For the bread:

  • 4-4.5 cups of flour
  • 1.5-2 glasses of water
  • 1 packet of yeast (small packet)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

For service:

  • 1 purple onion
  • 1 tomato _
  • 1 pinch of parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

How to Make Tantuni Recipe with Homemade Bread?

  • First, prepare the bread. Add the ingredients and knead. Add the flour in a controlled manner.
  • It will be a medium consistency dough. Gather the dough with a little olive oil, stretch the container and leave it to ferment.
  • Half an hour later, when the dough doubles in size, knead it again and divide it into 5 pieces. With the help of flour, roll each one into plate size and roll it lightly.
  • Do the same for all of them and place them on a tray sprinkled with flour.
  • Cover it with a tray and leave it to ferment. After half an hour and 45 minutes, apply water on them, cover them with a baking tray in a preheated oven at 220 degrees and bake them for 45 minutes. Place a bowl of water in the oven.
  • After the first 20 minutes, remove the top baking tray. Let it cook uncovered for 25 minutes.
  • Then, cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest.
  • For the meat, melt the butter and add the chopped meat. Since I used tenderloin, it was enough to cook it in its own juices. If you use beef, you can boil it in a pressure cooker with little water.
  • Saute the cooked meat in oil with salt and spices and season to taste. Add meat, parsley, onion and tomato between the bread and serve. Enjoy your meal.
