The best thing about stone kebab is that it is actually cooked in the bowl. Just like in our recipe. That meat and potatoes are cooked like Turkish delight with this method. It releases its water into the rice and the rice is cooked with the water leaking from that bowl. What a flavor this is. What a visual. Yes, I will explain the method, but those who haven't tasted it and eaten it won't know. How about making tas kebab for dinner?
- 500 grams of beef
- 3 medium sized potatoes
- 10 shallots _
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon of thyme (optional)
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cups of rice
- 3 teaspoons of salt
- 4 glasses of water
How to Make Tas Kebab Recipe?
- Prepare your round pastry tray and a bowl large enough to fit your meat, potatoes and onions. The bowl can be made of steel, zinc or, best of all, copper.
- As a first step, place the roughly chopped meat, onion and potatoes into the bowl. Add the tomato paste, salt, thyme and 2 spoons of butter and mix well.
- Turn your bowl upside down in the middle of your round tray. And put weight on the bowl so that it does not move and too much air and water does not get into it.
- Now our bowl is upside down in the middle of the tray and its edges are empty. Add water to that space and put your tray on the stove.
- When it boils, pour the water and the well-washed rice into the boiling water when the color of the leftover food changes. Arrange the rice around the tray and let it cook over low heat.
- Over time the rice will absorb water. The ingredients in the bowl will cook softly. Now you can turn off the stove. Your food is ready :)
- I'm waiting for your comments after you get over the initial shock of the meat spilling out when you lift that bowl from the table.
