Ingredients for Vegetable Kokorec Recipe
  • 1 piece of bread
  • 300 grams kokoreç (round)
  • 1 onion _
  • 2 tomatoes _
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 150 grams of mushrooms
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper

How to Make Vegetable Kokorec Recipe?

  • Chop the mushrooms, onion, pepper and tomatoes into cubes.
  • Place the kokoreç rings on the heated pan and cook each side in its own oil for about 5-6 minutes. Set the kokoreç aside and chop finely.
  • Add the onions to the pan heated over medium heat and fry until they turn pink.
  • Add pepper and mushrooms. Continue roasting for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook until the water evaporates. This process may take up to 5-6 minutes.
  • Place the finely chopped kokorec into the pan and cook with all the ingredients for 2-3 minutes.
  • Finally, add the spices you want and remove from the stove.
  • Cut the breads you will use in half so that they do not split completely, fill them with kokoreç and serve. Enjoy your meal!
