Ingredients for Carrot and Lentil Soup Recipe
  • 1.5 cups of red lentils
  • 2 large carrots
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1.5 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 glasses of water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of ground red pepper

How to Make Carrot and Lentil Soup Recipe?

  • Peel the carrots using a peeler or a knife.
  • Wash the red lentils and drain well.
  • Peel the garlic and chop it into small pieces.
  • Put olive oil, tomato paste and carrots in a pot. Mix well.
  • After sautéing the carrots for a few minutes, add the lentils. Continue mixing.
  • Add chicken broth and water. Cook over medium heat until lentils and carrots soften.
  • Then put the mixture in the blender. Add salt and spices into it. If the consistency is too thick at this stage, add water and boil some more.
  • Your soup is ready to serve. Enjoy your meal.
