Ingredients for Mengen Soup Recipe
  • 1 medium sized onion ( chopped)
  • 3/4 tea glass bulgur
  • 1 teaspoon of flour
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 heaping teaspoons tomato paste
  • 2.5 liters of water (chicken or meat broth is also suitable)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the above:

  • 2 tablespoons of burnt mint in butter (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper

How to Make Mengen Soup Recipe?

  • Add the oil to the pot, then the onions. Start roasting.
  • Add the flour and continue roasting.
  • Add the tomato paste and continue roasting.
  • Add bulgur and continue roasting.
  • Add the water. After adding salt and pepper, let it boil over low heat until the bulgur is cooked.
  • Add the mint you burnt in butter as desired.
  • You can serve it with chili pepper. Enjoy your meal!
